A Young Lady from Crystal Palace

A young lady from Crystal Palace
Is known to me as Alice.
She calls men her honey
And steals all their money.
And now she’s buying a palace!

I Once Met a Girl with a Lettuce

I once met a girl with a lettuce
Who spoke to me of her peculiar fetish.
Some girls they love whipped cream
But to me it does seem
That you can’t beat a girl’s fetish lettuce!

The Punter

I have checked the clock
And, hearing a car stop
And the rhythm
Of heels coming,
Have thought on time running
Away for she and me.

I have striven
When all alone,
To avoid the winking telephone
And the internet of regret.
But fearful dust
Brings on lust.

Alone in My Bedroom

Alone in my bedroom
As the sunlight falls
On bed and walls.

No scent of perfume
To sweeten my room,
Just the morn
Turning to noon.
We are but sunlight
Taken by night.

Elane Who Liked to Dance in the Rain

There was a young lady named Elane
Who liked to dance in the rain.
When the weather was dry
She would weep and sigh,
Then sing, which brought on the rain!

The Wet Churchyard Earth

The wet churchyard earth
Speaks of nature’s rebirth.
The graveyard grass smells fresh.
I see life and death.

There Once Was a Very Fat Guy

There once was a very fat guy
Who was extremely fond of a pie.
He would eat it all day
And when he sadly passed away
They baked that guy in a pie!
