Guest Post Submissions

I welcome guest posts. If you are interested in guest posting please read the following prior to contacting me:

Posts should be on a literary and/or writing theme.
Please get in touch prior to submitting a post. Please don’t submit without having first discussed your article with me.
Posts should be submitted as Microsoft Word attachments (or similar formats). Please do not send the text of your article in the body of an email.
Please do include links to your books, social media etc.
I welcome photographs. However please note that I am visually impaired and use screen reading software which converts text into speech and Braille enabling me to use a Windows computer. Jaws can read text based formats but can not interpret pictures. Consequently articles which are entirely text based will be posted quickly while those containing pictures will take longer to post, (I rely on sighted assistance to post the latter).
Queries regarding guest posts should be sent to kmorrispoet (at) gmail dot com. Please put “guest post” in the subject line.

Great idea. Thanks for offering.

I’ve heard mixed reviews on Jaws. Since I have dyslexia and holes in the visual field, I can still see pictures if they’re large enough. Cyberbuddy is a great solution for my need to use a text reader for anything longer than a paragraph.

Do you have a specific word count, such as, “nothing under 200 words or over 750”???

You would be most welcome to guest post. No, I don’t have a specific word count. As A rough guide I would suggest a post of at least a few hundred words and not exceeding 2-3 thousand. I would, however be happy to consider posts of shorter or longer duration depending on the circumstances. I have used Jaws for years and find it extremely good software. However other visually impaired people are big fans of Apple’s Voiceover (I have used this on an iPad but not an Apple Mac) and like the fact it comes bundled with the product while (with Jaws) one has to pay for it separately and install onto a Windows computer. Good to see you back on here. I have missed quite a few posts. I think WordPress is culling some of my friends. I would love to do a guest post for you. At the moment I have some writing deadlines Kevin, but I will be in touch soon. Are there any off limits topics or can we post anything writing related? Short stories, flash fiction or something to do with the writing process? Have a wonderful week. I will be in touch. Jane

  So good to catch up. My in-box gets crowded and it is easy to miss posts but for some reason I am not getting as many as I used to. WordPress and Facebook etc wise-up soon don’t they! Hi. I got a message to say you had posted my poem, “Ash”; somewhere on here. Being blind, I can’t find it. I find websites really dufficult to negotiate and very confusing. I often don’t know what is happening. But glad you posted my poem. Thankyou
