In autumn, I recollect
How I would collect
The Autumn’s fall.
From the forest’s floor.
How many more
Shall I recall?

Autumn Day
On a grey
Autumn day,
I engage
With age.
I Heard Leaves Fall
I heard
Leaves fall.
Then, a solitary bird
Did call,
As I stood
In Autumn’s wood.
And I did comprehend,
Beauty, and a friend.
The Wind
My open windows.
The wind blows.
The sterile,
Becomes virile.
Autumn Must Come
Autumn must come
Soon. Who will recall
Leaves that fall?
So many men.
Yet there are
Far more fallen leaves,
Than there are men.
A Cold, Sharp Bark
A cold, sharp bark
Pearces the dark,
Interrupting a thought
I really ought
Not to indulge in,
Of women
And sin.
In the city
Those who are witty
Say, in fun,
“Civilisation is done”.
Whilst, in the dark
A fox’s bark
Sounds near, and clear.
A Poem From My “Selected Poems”
The traffic noise momentarily fades.
No words,
Just the singing of birds,
And a yearning for woodland glades.

Fine Rain
I get wet
By this fine
Rain.
Yet,
I do not regret
For the divine
Is in the rain.
I shall get wet
Again
For when
Death does steal
Me away.
I regret
That I shall no longer feel,
The joy of a rainy day.

Ideologies
I think on ideologies.
The pendulum’s swing.
and the wind
In the trees
It’s blast
Will outlast
All these
Ideologies.
