Last night I dreamed a strange dream
About strawberries and lashings of fresh cream.
All the young women
Said no to sinning.
But gave in to strawberries and cream.

Last night I dreamed a strange dream
About strawberries and lashings of fresh cream.
All the young women
Said no to sinning.
And the vicar fell into the cream!
I have now recorded my poem ‘Dog Bed’, which was written in memory of Trigger.
DOG BED
The mark Of your teeth is still there, On your old dog bed. I walk in the park, Where The dead Leaves lie.
Shadows on the grass Mistook for an old friend. All things pass, However much we pretend Otherwise. You closed your eyes, And left your mark Upon my heart.
Below are some photographs:
Me remembering Trigger
Trigger relaxing on the ground
Me petting Trigger
My friend Trigger and me at the Park
Me talking about Trigger
Myself and Trigger in the Woods
A Sitting Long-nosed Bear or Wolf Sculpture
Enjoying a nice drink outside
Enjoying the woods together
A close up of Trigger!

A young lady whose name is Pat
Sent me a message using her WhatsApp.
She called me “sweet honey”,
And asked me for money.
And I’ve never seen a photograph like that!
I asked the devil, “wherein lies sin?”.
She answered me, “sir, sin, ’tis within
Both thee and me.
Now, my dear boy
Don’t be so coy.
And just tell me,
What would you like me to be!”.
Young women lead men astray.
But I find writing
So much more inviting
Yet, on a hot day
A poet’s thoughts may
Turn (’tis most perverse,
To something other than verse …
