There is no light
To brighten the night
As I pass
Along the churchyard path
Just gusting wind
Eternal as the rain.

As I Strolled Home on Valentine’s Day
As I strolled home on Valentine’s day
I met a young lady named Fay.
When I said, “you are divine.
Do say you’ll be my Valentine!”
Fay said, “its extra on Valentine’s day …”.

My hair is thinning.
I drink and think
On sinning with women.
And, as I drink
I ponder on
Where my hair
Has upped and gone!

Who yanked at a poor lion’s tail.

Fay’s Poem
When a young lady named Miss Fay
Composed a poem that was very risqué,
Me and Miss Rose
Took off our clothes –
Now we’re in that poem by Fay!
