My friend, who is a staunch libertarian
Has purchased a large brand new aquarium
Wherein all the fishes swim
Imprisoned in glass and tin.
And my friend he’s a staunch libertarian !

A Connoisseur Reflects
“The nervousness before.
I am sure
She feels it too.
But that door
We have walked through
Many times before.
And after polite conversation
With girls of diverse nations,
I take my wine.
But it’s a fact
That so often anticipation
Is better than the act.”
Bramble
A tall bramble
Fed by rain
Caught my eye.
The bramble
Will remain
Fed by rain
From a troubled sky.
And man may stay,
Or simply die.
A Man’s Pleasure
She asked me
What I like
One summer night.
I told her.
‘Twas no affair.
Just a man’s passing pleasure
With one who would never
Be his under normal circumstance.
A quick dance
For my pleasure
In summer weather.
And the clock …
The Recorder
Is there a recorder, somewhere
Noting down our every act?
I doubt the fact
Of god
But who has not
In the depths of dreams
Heard the recorder
That does die with I,
And seen
The thick black book
Wherein his every sin
Is writ?
And when he is gone
The record lives on
Be it known or not.

Lyme Who Picked a Fight with Father Time
There was a young man named Lyme
Who picked a fight with Father Time.
But old time slipped away.
And on his final day
Lyme made his peace with Father Time.
When Reckless Men
When reckless men
Play Russian Roulette
With professional women
The bare fact
Of the act
May cause regret.
Whether ‘tis sin
I know not,
But in
The hot
Pleasure of skin
Against skin
They play roulette.
I Awoke With The Beautiful Miss Spink
I awoke with the beautiful Miss Spink
Who gave me a very sly wink.
I said, “my dear
How came you here?
And where is your nightdress Miss Spink!”
