Naughty Miss Leigh
When a naughty young lady named Leigh
Went and stole my front door key
My wife Jane
Did loudly complain,
When she found me with Miss Leigh …
K Morris reading his poem ‘Milk’.
We continue to go about our hum-drum lives while others are suffering loss.
Foxes Mating – Flash Fiction
“The foxes are mating”, I said.
Then, in bed
You used a word rarely heard
In polite company.

Mabel’s Stable (Part 2)
When an active young lady named Mabel
Invited me into her father’s dark stable
Her cousin Jane
Did loudly complain
And the squire fell off the table!
Mabel’s Stable
When a young lady named Mabel
Invited me into her father’s dark stable
We discussed her horse
And the race course –
As her father was in the stable!
When a Young Lady in a Doze
When a young lady in a doze
Said, “I’ll punch you on your nose!”.
I shook my grey head
And climbed out of bed.
And that girl still has my toes!
I Awoke From a Doze
I awoke from a doze
Refreshed, in my old armchair.
Who knows
I may go that way.
For many a man goes
In doze.
If it be so
I shall not know.
You Gave To Me
You gave to me
A part
Of thee.
But the tick tock
Of the inexorable clock
Told me your heart
Was not
With me.
No memento
Have I of thee
Though perhaps a part
Lives on in art.
But the inexorable clock
May measure
More time together.
I know not.
