There once was a young lady named Price
Who was known for her love of dice.
She would play for hours
With that rakish Lord Flowers.
And then she would return to her dice.

Petite
Petite.

She inspired
A poem of stilettoed feet
And the thought of ought.
And meet.

Spink Who Was Known for Her Unusual Kink
There was a young lady named Spink
Who was known for her unusual kink.
A vicar called Brown
Wore Spinks’s silk gown.
And Spink she lived in his sink!
She Has Not Much to Lose
She has not much to lose
Save for her shoes,
For her legs are almost bare
To the summer air.
And one must confess
That’s not much of a dress.
But when attending confession
She shows some discretion.
So lets not cast aspersions
Nor bear a grudge
For I have heard assertions
Her favourite is a judge!

I am delighted to announce that I will be appearing on Vancouver Co-Op Radio’s The World Poetry Reading Series at 9 pm (UK time) on Thursday 26 August. Due to the wonders of Zoom, the recording will take place at 7 pm this evening and be broadcast 4 days later.
A podcast of my interview will, I understand be available after the show for those who are unable to listen on Thursday evening. You can find details of the World Poetry Reading Series here http://www.coopradio.org/content/world-poetry-cafe-2.

Amongst the poems I shall be reading will be several which are due to be included in Croydon Poetry Hour Anthology 2021/22, which is scheduled for publication later this year. Anticipation of Dissipation
His anticipation of dissipation.
There will be wine
With a girl divine.
Just his type.
And she may stay
For the night.
He sends her train fair.
“I’m on my way”
Her Watsap will say.
He goes to buy wine.
While she smiles
And remains online.
Fast and Furious
When a young lady who is really curious
Said, “I like to go fast and furious!”.
Me and Miss Stride
Had a great ride.
But her boyfriend he was more than furious!
Self-Scan
The self-scan says goodbye.
Elsewhere, a solitary man
Issues a command
To a webcam
And a literary guy
Wanders The Wasteland.
Desire
Desire builds a fire
Which burns. and turns
To ash and dust.
