My Ballad About a Salad

I once composed a rather fine ballad
About a young lady and her salad.
But a person named Dan
Being a greedy young man
Ate that salad along with my ballad!

Don’t Kiss Strangers Under the Mistletoe

When a wise and far sighted minister said,
“Good people, don’t kiss strangers under the mistletoe!”
I wondered whether one can go
To a pretty stranger’s bed
So long as you don’t kiss under mistletoe?

(Therese Coffey, a government Minister advises against kissing strangers under the mistletoe, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-59500232?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=KARANGA).

Falling Angels

When I saw 2 angels fall.
There was angel dust
And man’s passing lust.
And their names I do recall.
Yet, I continue to persist
In believing angels do exist.
And that not all angels fall

An Angel Named Lin

There once was an angel named Lin
Who wished to dance on a pin.
But a wicked old mortal
Tempted her through his portal,
Which led to great wickedness and sin!

My Stroll Around Old Soho

As I strolled through dear old Soho
I met a young lady named Flow
Who said, “sweet honey
Do you have money?”
But I spied that old copper Joe …

Curious Fay

When a young lady whose name is Fay
Said, “tell me what your poems do say!”
I said, “come you near my dear
And let me whisper in your ear.
Sweet Fay, they mean what they do say!”

As I Drink My Red Wine

As I drink
My red wine
I idly think
On Dowson’s rhyme.

The poet took delight
In women and wine.
On this December night
I have my wine.

Webcam

A young lady who’s known as Pam
Spends her working day live on webcam.
Both her and Miss Rose
Expose more than their toes.
But my wife she’s broken my webcam!
