On my way
Through the park today
I did
Snap a twig
And the wind said unto me,
“How easy ’tis, to break a twig,
Or tree”.

A Forward Young Lady Named Pam
A forward young lady named Pam
Maintains an Instagram,
Containing lots and lots
Of hot erotic shots,
But you should see my Instagram …!

A forward young lady named Pam
Maintains an Instagram,
Containing lots and lots
Of hot erotic shots,
Or so I’m told by Pam …!
Note: I don’t have an Instagram. Leastways I am not admitting to having one …
The Lover of Fruit
Such fruits have I had.
Seduced by the juice
Of the just ripe pear.
Oh yes, I have been there.
Sometimes I have been glad
At the fruits I have had.
The soft peach
And the perfect pear,
Just out of reach,
Has driven me half-mad.
Oh yes, I have been there.
I know
How the low
Bough, laden with maiden
peach and pear
Calls, And how easily it falls
Into the hand of the lover of peach and pear.
Oh yes, I have been there.
Such fruits have I had.
Seduced by the juice
Of the just ripe pear..
Oh yes, I have been there.
Conservatism and “Progress”
“Conservatism is more of a mindset than an ideology. It encourages scepticism when hearing about grand plans, abstract ideas and simple solutions for problems,
knowing that people are prone to overestimating their importance and knowledge on human affairs. Essentially, it teaches: don’t rush in. To judgement or
action”.
The above is an interesting take on Conservatism from Ryan Shorthouse, of the liberal Conservative think tank Bright Blue. For my own take on Conservatism, please see (https://kmorrispoet.com/2018/06/29/conservatism-2/).
I Know A Young Carpenter Named Mable
I know a young carpenter named Mable
Who is willing but not always able.
When she came round to mine,
We enjoyed lots of wine,
But she never started that table …
The Weather Is Unsettled
The weather is unsettled,
Free. And me?

Through the Looking Glass
Through the Looking glass
We pass
And find
The White Knight
With a mind
Full of madcap schemes
And unhinged dreams.
There the Red and the White Queen
Rule over fools
As mad as the Hatter in Wonderland.
Will Alice take command
Of all, and pass
Back through this cracked looking glass?
When A Young Lady In A Bonnet
When a young lady in a bonnet
Composed a very fine sonnet,
And they said, “that doesn’t quite rhyme”,
She replied, “that is no crime”,
Then left to change her bonnet!

When a young lady in a bonnet
Composed a very fine sonnet,
And they said, “that doesn’t quite rhyme”,
She replied, “now I have the time,
I shall be right back on it!”.
There Once Was A Man Named Dan
There once was a man named Dan
Who loved a girl called Ann,
But Ann loved Bill
(Who was with Jill),
And Jill, she fell for Dan!
