I heard foxes in the night
There screams of delight
Mingled with wild wind and rain
As I lay alone
Listening for the owl’s lonely cry.
I heard foxes in the night
There screams of delight
Mingled with wild wind and rain
As I lay alone
Listening for the owl’s lonely cry.
There was a young lady named Rose
Who scratched her nose with her toes,
Which drove her boyfriend
Right round the bend,
So he escaped whilst wearing no clothes!
I am cold
And regret the rain.
I am told
Sun will come again.
For now, happy new year!
For January drear is here!
Happy new year!
I once saw a goat in a boat
Who was wearing a brand new wool coat.
I yelled, “your boat is sinking!”.
He said, “I was just thinking
Whether you sir like my nice wool coat!”.
There can be no denial
That when some men see innocence
It attracts and distracts them.
They smile, planning how to defile
That which they once had
As a lad
Ere the world corrupted them
And reduced them
To shadows of good men.
A very happy new year to all of my readers. I hope that 2025 is a good year for you all.
Best wishes. Kevin
I am alive and thrive.
While the wind
Like a living thing
Gusts. Blowing leaves and dust.
When seagulls cry I
Feel the emptiness of eternity
In me.
I can not hide
From the all conquering sea.
A young lady whose name is Miss Louisa
Said we should all go and please her.
We put pepper on her knees
Which caused that girl to sneeze,
As we all loved to tease Miss Louisa!
A poet on his way
On a misty day
Across a road in Britain.
A poem goes unwritten.
