Kevin Morris Reading Rain Falls Hard on Youtube
Yesterday (13 June), I recorded a number of my poems on Youtube. Here is my poem “Rain Falls Hard”
I Once Met a Good Time Girl
I once met a good time girl
Who said, “do give me a whirl!
And tell me honey,
Do you have money? …?”,
But I’d spent it all on Pearl …!
Lovers by Moonlight
Lad and lass
Find delight
By moonlight
In spring grass,
Where the breeze
Does tease
Then pass
When a Young Lady Named Miss White
When a young lady named Miss White
Invited me round to hers last night,
We swung from the ceiling
With a girl from Ealing,
And my wife she started a fight!
A Poem From “The Further Selected Poems of K Morris”
I walked alone
Through the graveyard.
Then, on reaching home,
I pondered on lovers
And the dead.
The graveyard plot
Is cold,
Whilst love is hot.
Yet the dead
And lovers
Both have their bed,
Do they not?

There Once Was a Girl Called Lou
There once was a girl called Lou
Who wrote a poem upon her shoe.
A young man named Neil
Said, “you’re down at heel.
And your poem it won’t do Lou!”.
What’s in a Rhyme – a Podcast of Poet Kevin Morris’s Interview on Accessing Art with Amy Amantea
I was recently interviewed by Amy Amantea of Accessing Art. During that interview I read and discussed 2 of my poems, “Time” and “Raining”. I also talked about what inspired both poems and poetry more generally.
A podcast of my interview on Accessing Art is now available and can be found here, https://www.listennotes.com/podcasts/accessing-art-with/whats-in-a-rhyme-NgWPC2vfUeM/
My grateful thanks to Amy for interviewing me on her Accessing Art show.

There Once Was a Rather Naive Young Vicar
There once was a rather naïve young vicar
Who, being curious about red lights that flicker,
Got told to come in
By a girl called Lin,
Who showed him why red lights they flicker …
