Who composed a poem to her shoe.
She took great care
Of her favourite footwear,
As all well bred young ladies do!

Yes, I have certainly known a number of young ladies who like shoes, earrings and handbags!
There is a joke here in the UK about ladies who carry a lot in their bags, which runs something like, “what have you got in their? The kitchen sink!”
