Janus

Janus waits in the wings.

As with previous dead years

He will bring

Laughter and tears.

Doors open and close.

The futurologist thinks he knows

What the future holds.

But Janus thumbs his nose,

And history goes

On as before,

And where it goes

Heaven only knows.

Well Spoken Girl

A girl well spoken.

The doors that could open

close

on this delicate rose.

The primrose path to hell is sweet

But the way back will defeat

Those who walk on dainty feet.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover

Or you may discover

Something other

Than you bargained for.

Janus stands atop the door

while the raven does khaw.

Happy New Year!

So Janus, (the Roman god of beginnings, time and doors) approaches. He is often represented as looking back to the old year and forward to the new. As I look back I feel a sense of gratitude to you, my followers for making the blogging experience so pleasurable. All the comments and likes are very much appreciated. A big thank you also to all of you who have helped to publicise my writing and bought my books.

Come the new year I will, of course keep writing.

To all of you a very happy new year.
