There once was a student named Gwen
Who was fond of throwing her pen.
A teacher called Lou
Said, “that won’t do!”,
And threw that pen back at Gwen!

The school games we loved Lol Not so much when the teacher threw the chalk. 😉 Best wishes, Michael
I have heard of teachers throwing chalk, but fortunately have never experienced it! I’m pleased you like my poem, Michel. Best wishes. Kevin
Chalk was OK, but some threw the board rubber!
I have heard of that, Vivienne! Once, as a very young child, I had my mouth washed out with soap and water for swearing. Obviously I should not have used bad language, but putting soap into a child’s mouth for swearing is, quite frankly abuse and I’m sure that where a teacher to do so today they would rightly be disciplined (or prosecuted) for doing it.
good one!
Thank you, Beth. I’m pleased you enjoyed it.
I threw a pencil at a student once after he confessed to putting his apostrophes over the ‘s’ when he didn’t know how to use one. And, yes, I’d fallen for his ploy.
That made me smile, Liz! Perhaps I shouldn’t ask, but did it hit him …
It bounced off him, if I recall correctly.
I hope it taught him to be better behaved in the future.
Knowing Eugene, probably not. 😉
Thanks for making me smile, Liz!
My pleasure, Kevin!
