Fallen Churchyard Leaves

Walking through fallen leaves

In the familiar churchyard

The poet sees

The hard

Fact that all

Leaves fall.

I’m delighted you like my poem, Michael. There is no need to apologise about the delay. I always appreciate you taking the time to like, share and comment on my poetry. You also, enjoy your weekend. I got drenched this morning walking Apollo with my friend and her Rhodesian Ridgeback in the park. There is nothing like the scent of wet dog! Best wishes. Kevin

The latest forcast is that rain may come again at 10 pm. However, I shall take my raincoat out with me when I go out this afternoon in case it pours down before then!

Thank you. Its lovely to hear that. Back in 2019 I published my Selected Poems. I have been thinking for some time now of revising it to incorporate poems published since that date. I probably need to take some time away from my blog to give the revised selection the time it deserves.

Thank you, Vivienne. I enjoy posting on my blog, but having a full time job and finding time to be with friends, it isn’t always easy juggling conflicting priorities.
Your suggestion of a second volume is a good one. I did publish in 2021 “The Further Selected Poems of K Morris”. In retrospect I should, perhaps have waited longer and published an expanded edition or, as you suggest a second volume. I shall give the matter some more serious thought prior to embarking on the task. Best wishes. Kevin
