I get wet
By this fine
Rain.
Yet,
I do not regret
For the divine
Is in the rain.
I shall get wet
Again
For when
Death does steal
Me away.
I regret
That I shall no longer feel,
The joy of a rainy day.
I get wet
By this fine
Rain.
Yet,
I do not regret
For the divine
Is in the rain.
I shall get wet
Again
For when
Death does steal
Me away.
I regret
That I shall no longer feel,
The joy of a rainy day.
Very solemn, poignant and evocative. What a lovely piece with themes of both life and death. It really is all about living in the present and engaging with it all the same. Amazing writing.
Thank you, Lucy. I’m delighted you relate to my poem. As you say, we should enjoy the present. Very best wishes, Kevin

I also love fine rain, Kevin, especially during summer. A great poem. I have finished your new book and will write up my review this week to include in my post on Saturday.
