Fine Rain

I get wet
By this fine
Rain.
Yet,
I do not regret
For the divine
Is in the rain.

I shall get wet
Again
For when
Death does steal
Me away.
I regret
That I shall no longer feel,
The joy of a rainy day.

Very solemn, poignant and evocative. What a lovely piece with themes of both life and death. It really is all about living in the present and engaging with it all the same. Amazing writing.

Many thanks for commenting, Robbie. I’m delighted that you also appreciate the rain and my poem. Thanks also for reading and reviewing my book. I very much appreciate you taking the time to do so. Best wishes, Kevin
