In the wood
My dog chased
A squirrel.
No thought of good
Or bad
Had he,
For he was free
Of morality.
In my mind
I often find,
Squirreled away
A thought
I ought
Not to think
Of play
With prey.

Of morality.

Thank you for sharing, Michael
Apollo’s Christmas gift? 😉 Also a good metaphoric poem. Thanks, Kevin! Enjoy a nice and festive time! Best wishes, Michael
Fortunately for the squirrel Apollo failed to catch it! I’m glad you like my poem, Michael. You to, have a lovely Christmas. All the best. Kevin
Thanks too, Kevin! It seems that you need some cats in the neighborhood. Apollo needs exercise opportunities! 😉 xx Michael
