The rain fell
In the wood I know well.
I could say it’s sound
Was very profound
And the forest rang with birdsong.
All of this is true.
But I was wet through
And wanted home
And hot tea!

There’s nothing like a cup of hot tea after a wet walk in the woods!
I agree with you, Vivienne. Or a few pints in a local pub (depending on the weather of course)!
The pub sounds a good idea.
