A brief explanation of my absence and subsequent reappearance due to the kindness of Chris Graham (AKA) the Story Reading Ape.
During the last week of January, I became vague whilst shopping in Sainsburys supermarket. The member of staff who was helping me at the time was concerned, however, the vagueness passed and I continued to a restaurant where I met my friend Jeff.
During Wednesday evening (the last Wednesday in January), I became unwell and collapsed at home. I subsequently recovered and thought no more about it, that is until the first Sunday in February when I again collapsed whilst walking Appollo with a friend in South Norwood Lake park. An ambulance was called and I was taken to Mayday University hospital in Croydon, where I suffered a further seizure.
Having spent the night in Mayday, I was sent home with medication for epelesy. This did, I thought at the time seem to do the trick as I suffered no further seizures. My mum and her friend spent a few days with me then returned to Liverpool.
Having rested for a couple of days, I decided to go to visit my family in Liverpool. Soon after having arrived, I was once more subject to confusion and developed a weak right side.
To cut a long story short, I was admitted to Walton Neuro Unit where I underwent an emergency operation. I am pleased to report that I am no longer subject to confusion, and I have largely regained the movement in the right side of my body. I am so grateful to all of the staff in Walton Neuro Unit for their excellent care and compassion.
I am still undergoing tests in order to determine what, exactly happened. Basically, as a child, I developed a blood clot on the brain which the doctors believe allowed 2 bugs to enter my system. (They are looking to seal the hole which was left since I was 18-months-old)!
Chris Graham is now posting for me as I’m unable to access the dashboard on my blog due to some issue with the NHS’S WiFi, which is blocking my access.
I am extremely grateful to Chris for his kindness in posting on my behalf.
