I passed
Puddles on the churchyard path.
But when
I came that way again
I saw them no more.
How quickly men
Pass by
Puddles on the churchyard path,
And how soon they die.
I passed
Puddles on the churchyard path.
But when
I came that way again
I saw them no more.
How quickly men
Pass by
Puddles on the churchyard path,
And how soon they die.
Puddles evaporate quickly in the sun, and yes, it does seem as if life evaporates in a similar way, gradually declining until it’s gone.
I’m pleased you understand and can relate to my poem, Vivienne. Thank you for commenting.
