Calling all Poets

As some of you know, I am a regular guest on the World Poetry Reading Café, where I read and discuss my poetry.

I am delighted to announce that I have been invited to do a monthly segment (starting on 22 July), during which I will interview fellow poets and read some of my own poetry from time to time.

If you are a poet and would be interested in being interviewed by me, please send an email to kmorris poet (at) gmail.com with the subject line “World Poetry Café”. Please include a brief biography in your email together with any links to your social media Etc. No explicitly adult content please.

Poet Kevin Morris Reads his Poetry on the World Poetry Reading Series

On Monday 13 February I was interviewed by Ariadne Sawyer of Vancouver Co-op Radio’s the World Poetry Reading Series, https://worldpoetry.ca/. During my interview I read a number of my poems and discussed my work.

My segment appears approximately 10 minutes into the podcast and runs for around 15 minutes. In addition, I read a poem at the end of the show.

I listened back to the podcast using Chrome. However, other browsers should also work.

The show will air at 9 pm (UK time) on Thursday 16 February, (the podcast linked to above is available in advance of the show).

On Monday 7 November, I was interviewed by Ariadne Sawyer of Vancouver Co-op Radio’s the World Poetry Reading Series. During my interview, I read a number of poems and answered questions regarding my work.

On 9 February, I posted regarding my forthcoming interview on Vancouver Co-op Radio’s the World Poetry Reading Series, https://kmorrispoet.com/2022/02/09/poet-kevin-morris-interviewed-by-ariadne-sawyer-of-vancouver-co-op-radios-the-world-poetry-reading-series/.

In the above post I said that my interview/poetry reading will be broadcast at 9 pm (UK time) on Thursday 10 February which is, of course this evening.

For anyone who is unable to listen at 9 pm I am pleased to let you know that my interview and reading from Leaving and Other Poems is now available on Mixcloud. I am pleased to announce that a podcast of my interview on Vancouver Co-Op Radio’s The World Poetry Reading Series is now available and can be found here, http://www.coopradio.org/content/world-poetry-caf%C3%A9-186. The show was broadcast at 9 pm (UK time) on Thursday 26 August, and my segment begins approximately 18 minutes into the podcast. In addition, at the end of the show I read my poem “My Old Clock I Wind”.

A couple of weeks ago, I was interviewed for the World Poetry Reading Series by Ariadne Sawyer. My interview was conducted over Zoom, and is due to be broadcast at 9 pm (UK time) on Thursday 24th September.

The World Poetry Reading Series recently published “The World Poetry Anthology”. As announced on 7 September, I was delighted that my poem “England on the Eve of World War I” is included in the book. My interview starts approximately 20 minutes into the podcast, and runs for some 15 minutes.

I listened back to my interview using Google Chrome, so know that Chrome works. However, as is so often said, other browsers are available!

During the course of the podcast, you will hear the interventions of Tommy the cat. He did, I think enjoy my poems, or perhaps his mews where his way of saying, “is there not something more interesting I could be doing, than listening to a middle-aged poet reading his poetry!”.
