I am bored, but alive
And appear to thrive.
The hospital food is good,
But too much pud
Will make me very fat,
So I avoid that!
..
I don’t miss my beer
As much as I thought I would,
But I wish I could
Make the day less drear with beer!
..
I hear the seagulls cry
And I would fly
Away if I could
But I am stuck here
In this place drear.
Yet I am still alive
And appear to thrive!

Youre still in the hospital, Kevin? I am so sorry for that. But without beer, that’s unbelievable. Best wishes, Michael
Yes, I am still in the hospital Michael and without beer! Whilst friends have joked about bringing in cans of Fosters, I don’t think this is a good idea! But a pleasure deferred is, I think even better once enjoyed! Best wishes. Kevin
A little bit of pud won’t hurt!
I agree that a little bit of pud is good, Esther. Its my relative lack of exercise whilst in hospital about which I’m concerned. All the best. Kevin
I can understand that.
And as you continue to thrive via being alive, to that place you shall surely say goodbye!
Indeed I will, Annette! Thank you for your comment which makes me feel much better!
Let’s hope you’re not there for much longer, Kevin.
I’m glad to hear you thrive, even if bored. Hospital isn’t the most interesting place to stay.
Just a thought, Kevin. Who is looking after Apollo (I think that’s his name, and do you get to see him?
Yes Apollo is indeed his name, Vivienne. He is staying with my mum and her partner Billy and is getting lots of walks, including when he comes in to see me.
Thank you, Vivienne. At least I have my writing to keep me occupied until the day of discharge arrives!
