Were I to die under a bus
Family and friends would cry.
There would be little fuss
Over my literary legacy.
Those few who read my rhyme
Of women and wine
and passing time
May fancy they hear
Skeletons prattle in cupboards
And clocks stop.
But I will not reply
no reply will be the sign that you have left
Indeed it will, Beth. Thank you for your comment.
Oh, what a sad undertone. I a sure we will hear of you, also after you passed away.
You are then a member of the British Ghost Association and will receive accommodation in one of the castles. 😉 xx Michael
I have always liked the idea of living in a castle or mantion, so perhaps I will find accommodation in one after my death as you suggest Michael! I like the idea of joining a literary ghost association! Thank you for commenting and making me smile. Best wishes. Kevin
Maybe some of those knights took a rest from their robbing from time and indulged in reading or writing poetry. After all one can not spend one’s entire life in laying waste the local community, one must find relaxation from time to time …
The ghosts in the UK are better to live in the community, here in Germany all castles and locks are permanently occupied by the living descendants. The ancestors didn’t have much to do with poetry. It was only robber knights. Lol xx Michael
