Earlier today, I recorded my poem “The Man with the Mop”:
(“The Man with the Mop” can be found in my “Selected Poems”, which is available on Amazon, and can be found here, https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07WW8WXPP/ (for the UK), and here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WW8WXPP/.)
I love the way you speak your poems Kevin. And I especially like this poem. You create a vivid picture, which, as always, has deeper meaning than would at first seem apparent. I really like this one.
Thank you, Lorraine. I’m delighted you like The Man with the Mop. All the best, Kevin
Are you still working from home Kevin?
Yes, and it looks likely that I shall be working from home for a good while to come. Whilst it’s good not to have to go into central London every day, I do miss seeing colleagues face-to-face and the opportunity to chat with people (other than over the internet on Microsoft Teams).
Yes I realised that you would miss that Kevin. It’s sad that all this has happened. I am glad, though, that at least the pissibility is now there of meeting up with friends and going to a pub or restaurant. I am told also that there are a lot of shaggy haired people about now, so hairdressers and barbers are now going to be very busy getting the nation in shape again. At least Trigger’s hair stays ok. Have a good day Kevin.
I had a haircut on Friday 10th July at the barber’s I’ve used for many years. It was good to see them open again, and I feel more human having had that great weight of hair removed! You to Lorraine, have a good day.
Great to see you speak!
Thank you, Angela. I do enjoy recording my poems, and I’m pleased that you liked my reading of The Man with The Mop. Best wishes, Kevin
