Blind Publican

Last night, I had a dream in which I had agreed to work in my local pub. Being blind, this would, no doubt have been a very interesting experience for me and the customers of that esteemed establishment.
My peculiar dream led to the composition of the below rhyme.

When a blind man whose name is Grub
Got a job in his local pub,
Those wanting brandy
Got lemonade shandy,
But the grub, it was really quite good!

It is indeed strange how dreams come to us, Debbie. Shandy can certainly be a nice cooling drink on a hot summer’s day and thank you for the poetry in your comment! I must confess to enjoying a good brandy from time to time. There are some particularly nice fruit ones out there. All the best – Kevin

You are very welcome for the tip, Debbie! The fruit brandies often seem to go on sale on or around Christmas time, but I am sure you should be able to get hold of some prior to then. All the best – Kevin
