There was a young lady called Jane
Who boarded the wrong train.
She jumped off in a huff
Yelling “I have had enough
And I can’t stand the rain!”.

Which was really quite tough
On account of the moving train!
There was a young lady called Jane
Who was extremely fond of the rain.
When the weather was dry,
It made her cry,
And she lived on the American plain
There was a young lady called Jane
Who always did maintain
That she could eat a horse
But, of course
The saddle she would retain …!
There was a young lady called Jane
Who suffered a terrible pain
When she sat on a drawing pin.
Her friend did grin
And said, “no pain, no gain”!
