I Know A Young Man Named Rex

I know a young man named Rex
Who’s poems are extremely complex.
He writes them in latin
Whilst dressed in pink satin,
And all the girls love Rex!

Whilst dressed in pink satin,
Which does his poor readers vex!

Kevin, I prefer the second ending – I just don’t like the use of “Rex” twice. Maybe something more spicy with the pink satin. Vex is a great rhyme word, but would the readers be as vexed by the pink satin as perhaps one of the girls who can’t get his attention – or one of the boys who can’t either? Still, I love the thing. 🙂

Many thanks for your feedback, Donna. In retrospect I am inclined to agree with you as I, also prefer the second ending. Your comment made me smile. Best wishes – Kevin

I shall try to be careful. However ’tis better to smile than to weep, therefore I shall smile while I may, for who knows when my day will end, my friend. Best wishes – Kevin
