The air outside the hospital is free.
I have walked the periphery
Of the hospital’s grounds and found
How dear the air is to me.
.
It enters through my window
And calls to me of liberty
And says how below, people don’t know
The profundity of the air.

About Chris The Story Reading Ape
I am what my name states, an ape of the primate species called Homo Sapiens Sapiens.
My blog is intended to present New (to me) Authors, whose stories or books I have read and enjoyed, so that anyone who happens to stumble onto this blog, while searching for a book to read, or, a new (to them) author to try, may find what they seek, or, at least, inspiration.
I have also made the blog an Author Promotions Enterprise to be a platform for authors to introduce themselves to potential readers and to provide advice and tips resources information they can use to improve and enhance their story telling efforts.

Very thought-provoking. I know I take fresh air for granted and shouldn’t. I hope you’re getting better 💗
Thank you, Esther. I am indeed getting better and am looking forward to the day when I can go home.
We really appreciate freedom and home after being in hospital
Indeed we do. Thank you for your comment.
I totally agree, Kevin!
Thank you, Annette. I’m delighted you can relate to my poem.
Honestly we fail to appreciate the sweet air of freedom, outside hospitals, outside of prisons, out side of toxic relationships. Thanks for sharing Kevin.
Many thanks for commenting. My poem obviously struck a chord with you and I’m delighted you can relate to it.
Yes, fresh air is something we tend to take for granted.
We do indeed take fresh air and liberty for granted, Vivienne. Thank you for commenting
