I heard birds
On a chilly
January day.
How silly
For you or I
To try
To interpret what they say,
For the song of birds,
Is beyond our poor words.

..and the birds singing in January sound happier than humans!
Thanks for your comment, which made me smile. I know what you mean. But, having said that, it has (again) been rather a mild winter. In point of fact, I rather like cold weather, particularly those sunny, frosty days. Kevin
Yes, I love sunny frosty days.
This mirnung the burds were naking nouses oytsude that made me think Spring has come. I think the burds thunk so antway! It was beautuful! Time for love lol!
Thank you for your wonderful description of the birds, Lorraine. They certainly sounded beautiful when I heard them in the woodland close to my home this afternoon.
Best, Kevin
There was a lone coal tit perched right on the top of our willow tree this morning, and I am sure he was singing a love song. The wood pigeons were cooing as well! It has not been a cokd winter, and the snowdrops are startung to show theur white heads! Amazing!
And they certainly talk a lot 😆
We have a robin which stares at me from the garden and we know when it chirps just what it wants- peanuts!
I’m pleased to read about your robin and his desire for peanuts, which made me smile!
