I scent the autumn rain,
Comforting. The same
Rain as fell
As when I was a younger man.
Yet nature’s plan
Is upset
For, although the rain
Is as wet
As yesteryear
I fear
That the seasons grow confused
And I am bemused
By this warmer weather.
Yes the rain
Does remain
The same
But increasing storm
And strange
Weather, warns of climate change.
How true! A lovely poem, Kevin.
Thank you Vivienne, I am delighted you like it.
Best wishes, Kevin
