Why did I my window close?
The wind blows.
I
Will die
So why
Be shy
Of this fresh air
That takes away my care?
I awoke
To crows.
Nature spoke
Once more. Who knows
Why man goes
On as before?
Why did I my window close?
The wind blows.
I
Will die
So why
Be shy
Of this fresh air
That takes away my care?
I awoke
To crows.
Nature spoke
Once more. Who knows
Why man goes
On as before?
This is absolutely magnificent, Kevin! Give my best to Trigger.
Thank you, Lucy. It was prompted by me standing by the open window in my living room in the early morning, enjoying the wind momentarily and then closing the window.
There are so many “Whys” in this life aren’t there? For me, the biggest “Why?” Is “Why are we here.”
Indeed there are a good many whys in life. As an agnostic I ponder on why we are here.
I know. I say I have a faith. But I struggle with it very much indeed. I ask the question as to why we are here because of death. Why were we born if only to then die. I get very angry anout death. Especially when a friend or someone close to me dies. And also when contemplating my own death, as I have had to do. I tend to try to hold onto faith but it does often elude me.
I wish we knew the answers, but then I guess life might lose its interest, lol
