The delight of sunlight on hospital corridors
Speaks of the great outdoors.
I walk in sunshine for a time.
Then, returning indoors, I rhyme
Of pretty nurses
Who make us patients laugh
As they pass
By our hospital beds.
I wonder, will these verses
Still be read
When I and pretty nurses
Find our final bed.
