Some find it easy to write about death
And readers raise
A glass in praise
Of their art.
Larkin feared the loss of breath
And, in Aubade
Played out his fears.
Whilst others hide inside
Their art
The fear that lurks within their heart.

    I love this. I so wish that talking about death could be more acceptable. I do sometimes write about it in poems because I faced it once and still do, and yes, it is fear laden! Thankyou for this Kevin

      As you so rightly say, death is fear laden. However, it comes to us all in the end, however much we may pretend that it does not.
