A wooded path
Beauty in bleakness
Fallen leaves stirred by a chill winter’s breeze.
Cold cuts like a knife
Exilirating to be alive

Thank you. The path is some 10 minutes walk from my home. The piece came to me as I walked along it with my dog, Trigger yesterday.
Trigger. Hmm. Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. And, of course, Trigger. Great name.
Did you get to name your dog?
There is also a character called Trigger in the British commedy series Only Fools and Horses. It is very funny and, if you haven’t seen it I’d certainly recommend getting hold of the DVD set from Amazon or other retailer of your choice! All guide dogs have their names when you receive them. Thus far I have had: Nixon, Zeff, Drew and, of course the famous Trigger! Nixon lead to all kinds of jokes about Watergate while Zeff was nicknamed Tigger, of Winnie the Poo fame on account of his habit of putting his front paws around people’s legs and bouncing playfully, (most embarrassing at times I can tell you)!
Sounds like all your wonderful dogs had lots of personality. I was under the impression, guide dogs always have been serious and ‘on the job’. I see now they are great companions, as well.
Yes they all have their own unique, loveable personalities. Thanks as ever for your comment which help to make my blog a living place with interactions rather than just talking to myself. Kevin
