If I should vanish from cyberspace, think only this of me, there is some corner of a Liverpool kitchen where tea should not be drunk while using a laptop …!
Yes I did what most computer users have done at some time or other – I knocked my drink over my laptop. Half a kitchen roll later the machine appears to be none the worse for it’s unexpected bath. I only hope that the tea is not, as I write reeking havoc in the inards of my machine. Well, if I ssuddenly disappear offline for a while you can make an educated guess as to why this has happened …! Fingers crossed that everything will come out in the wash so to speak …

Ack! Yay for still being functional! 🙂
Thanks for your comment and sorry for the delay in replying. I have only just been able to access my laptop with the aid of a USB keyboard. The machine is, however still behaving erratically. I may need to replace the keyboard or go down the nuclear route of buying a new machine.

Kevin, I have a film (carapace) for my keyboard (I have a mac) I think you can also get them for laptop and PC keyboards – Good Luck getting sorted 🙂
Thanks for your comment and helpful suggestion regarding the protective film Chris. Apologies for the delay in responding, I have only just seen your comment. I am using a USB keyboard to access my laptop with erratic results. I tried posting earlier but the darn machine kept defaulting to the context menu. I will, I think need to get the keyboard replaced or go for the nuclear option of a new machine.

Oh Dear Kevin – but hopefully you’ll be able to take advantage of the January Sales 🙂
I must confess to being a bit skeptical about sales as they seem to happen now at the drop of a hat. I wonder whether some of the products may have been overpriced in the first place but perhaps that is the old cynic in me …!
