A new report suggests that 50 percent of occupations will disappear in the next 15 years and lists those likely to perish together with those which will survive. The report’s author’s are optimistic that people will find new more interesting occupations to replace those which perish.
I note that authors don’t appear in either list. Not sure what one draws from that! For the article please visit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2826463/CBRE-report-warns-50-cent-occupations-redundant-20-years-time.html
Stimulating reading. I haven’t given any thought to how the job market will change although subconsciously I know as technology will make some jobs of today redundant. Thought provoking stuff. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you found the article thought provoking. I suspect as with all predictions some of them will come to pass while others (such as the robot servant) will fail to materialise.
I’d like a robot servant / house-cleaner / house-keeper. Yes, I would.
To clarify, I know the robot servant and/or domestic helper isn’t predicted in this article. However it is one of the many predictions made in the past which have failed to hold water. I suspect that at least some of the predictions made in the present piece may not happen or, at least will occur in a partial manner.
I think anything is possible, but would I be able to afford a robot is my biggest worry. 😀 😀
