Dog And Ball:

My head full
Of dull
Thought.
Then the ball you caught
And waving your tail
Did derail
My introspection.
How can I suffer dejection
When I recollect your playful snort
And the ball you caught?

Early Morning Walk:

My dog snuffles
and scuffles
amongst the leaves.
He is just there
With no care
For what I think
As I drink
In the fresh morning air.

Many thanks for sharing, Chris.
Welcome, Kevin
Bless him! Looks like he reminds you of what’s important in life, a wet dog nose, and a ball 🙂

Kevin, as you know, dogs are incredibly loving and caring of humans and your poems say that, simply and beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Karen 🙂
Many thanks for your kind words, Karen. Yes dogs give a great deal to we humans and I feel incredibly lucky to have Trigger as a companion, friend and working guide dog.
