I’ve enjoyed K. Morris’ last twobooks, so I of course picked up Leaving and Other Poems. This collection is split into two sections, though not as defined. Like previous collections, the first section has more thought-provoking poems, while the second section has humorous ones.

The thought-provoking ones followed themes of birds, death, and trees. It has more of a mentality about what survives after we are gone. Through this section, there are a handful of lines that stood out as absolutely brilliant. The funny section is a lot shorter but lighthearted and puts one in a good mood.
