Throwback Thursday: Robots Will Change the Way We Write

Will robots replace writers? This post argues that they will take over the more mundane aspects of writing by, for example producing simple weather and sports reports. However, it goes on to say that it is unlikely that robots will take over in the field of creative writing. Indeed (the author states) that the advent of robots may encourage we humans to become more uniquely creative. An interesting read.

It’s a bit of a scary idea. Still, I can’t imagine robots being very moving creative writers. I think creativity is uniquely human. Or, at least, we’re unique in the degree to which we’re creative. Human beings are born storytellers. Still, the article had some good suggestions for upping our writing game.

Also, I shared the β€œReal Neat Blog Award” with you. You can see it here: https://doingthewritething.wordpress.com/2017/07/08/thats-just-neat/ . No worries if you don’t want to accept it though. πŸ™‚

Many thanks for your comment and the Real Neat Blog Award. You may well be correct as regards creativity being a uniquely human atribute. However it is notoriously difficult to predict the future so (while maintaining a healthy scepticism), I shall remain open minded on the matter.
I very much appreciate your kindness in thinking of me for the Award. However due to my writing and other commitments, I regret that I am unable to accept it.
      Very best wishes, Kevin
