If one purchases a physical book in a bookstore one can not return it unless there is someting physically wrong with it (E.G. pages bound up-side-down or text missing). However one can, with Amazon return a book when 15 percent read. This seems wholly wrong particularly given that one can sample Kindle titles prior to purchasing them. Kevin
Thanks for reblogging Kevin
You are welcome Chris. Best. Kevin
As usual, I probably have the wrong information, but I thought that Amazon paid the author for the number of pages read?
That’s probably on another one of their programs. 🙂
Thanks for your comment. Yes it all gets rather confusing to put it mildly! I think there is a lot to be said for the old fashioned way of doing things, namely one either buys a book which one can not (other than under exceptional circumstances return for a refund) or one borrows the same book! Kevin
You’re correct, there is a lot to be said for the simpler ways.
Most authors don’t have a hefty price tag on kindle. It’s one thing to pay $20 for a book, another thing if it’s $4 or less for a virtual copy.
