Shall I intrude
Into their quietude?
The wind sings
As I,
Alone
Pass by
Gravestone.
Time has stopped,
For those below.
I have the clock
And somewhere to go.
But the wind sings
Softly to me
In the churchyard tree.
Shall I intrude
Into their quietude?
The wind sings
As I,
Alone
Pass by
Gravestone.
Time has stopped,
For those below.
I have the clock
And somewhere to go.
But the wind sings
Softly to me
In the churchyard tree.
Time rushes by, indeed, Kevin, but not for those under the gravestones. A thoughtful poem. I love it.
Thank you, Vivienne. I’m delighted you like my poem. I live opposite to a church and take a short cut through the churchyard practically every day, and sometimes several times a day.
Best wishes. Kevin
